Sunday afternoons walk along the Leeds and Liverpool canal

We started our walk from our house approximately half a mile away from the canal; it is a pleasant walk along country lanes and past stone cottages.

We walked to the canal at Rodley and across the bridge on to the path. Quite a lot of barges are moored up between Rodley and Calverley bridge.

We passed the railway pub. I took forty-five photographs on our walk.

I love the smell of the wood burning stoves as you walk past the barges.
It's nice in your neck of the woods Kerren! I like walks along the river Medway here and that's what your canal walk reminds me of.
